The 25 Group

The 25 Group provides hands-on assistance to families in the Houston area who have been devastated by the hurricane and flood waters.

The Group was formed by Titus and Kari Benton in 2014, and is based on Mathew 25, “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”

Samaritan’s Purse

UPDATE: Samaritan’s Purse is now deploying to hard-hit Key West. Day volunteers began work Wednesday, Sept. 20. Our base of operations in Key West is Glad Tidings Church, located at 1209 United Street. We will start receiving overnight volunteers on Monday, Sept. 25. Samaritan’s Purse aircraft will be playing a key role in this part of our Irma response in Florida. We’re also opening a site for day volunteers only in Apopka at New Destiny Christian Center, 505 McCormick Road, 32703. We have a total of two disaster relief units based in Florida.

Everything IDES does revolves around sharing the hope we have in Jesus Christ.  Whether responding to disasters, relieving hunger and malnutrition, developing sustainable solutions for impoverished communities, or caring for those with medical needs – it is done in order to share the Gospel.

IDES was formed in 1973 by Milton and Jane Bates.  It is currently run by Rick Jett, a classmate of Pastor Doug Lay at Ozard Bible College.  The organization provides world wide relief and evangelism and received Guidestar’s “Gold Star” for transparency in 2017.
