Pastor Lay visited Christine in Barnes-Jewish today (9-5-16).
Christine said “she fell 7 times…had fluid on the brain. Chemo pump will be removed tomorrow because of infections…so no treatment until infection is gone. Doctors did tell her she is dying. Doesn’t know when she might go home. She is allergic to morphine. She said she was in pain and that it was an 8. Pain meds didn’t work. Waiting on doctor to switch pain meds… Will now be given as she needs it, not on a schedule…” She talked to us while in pain.
Pastor Lay says she was in good spirits…laughed and talked a lot, but was in a lot of pain.
